Orly Orlyson

Orly Orlyson

Orly Orlyson is an Icelandic filmmaker and storyteller with a lifelong passion for exploration history, from Viking voyages to the Apollo Moon landings. As the founder and director of The Exploration Museum in Húsavík, Iceland, Orly has made it his life’s work to preserve and share the stories of humanity’s boldest adventurers.

A dynamic public speaker, Orly has presented around the world, from the historic halls of the Explorers Club in New York to cruise ships crossing the Arctic Circle. His lectures bring to life tales of Norse sagas, polar pioneers, and space-age heroes, connecting past and future through the lens of discovery.

As the director of the documentary Cosmic Birth, Orly captured firsthand accounts from Apollo astronauts, and — hired by Netflix to produce the live broadcast performance — led efforts that brought the Oscar-nominated song “Húsavík” to the world stage during the 93rd Academy Awards.

Orly is also a civic leader and entrepreneur, having served as President of the Húsavík town council and founded several hospitality ventures and museums in his hometown. He is a member of the prestigious Explorers Club and a founding member of Space Iceland.

Selected by the U.S. Department of State for the YTILI fellowship and named one of Iceland’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons, Orly brings warmth, wit, and wonder to every journey. With Windstar, he invites guests to travel through time and imagination, exploring the edges of the map — where the known ends, and the stories begin.

Temoana Poole

Temoana Poole

Temoana Poole, born and raised on the island of Mo’orea, has deep ties to his Polynesian culture. Growing up, he was taught how to read his environment in order to live off the land and the sea. Captivated by his picturesque surroundings and inspired by the beauty of a simpler way of life, Temoana quickly turned to artistic expression. When Temoana's father gifted him his first film camera at age 11, he quickly went through every roll of film — not an easy item to find on Mo'orea!

Temoana's latest work involves the creation of Polynesian wildlife sanctuaries through his non profit, Keep Mo'orea Wild. He is also an official Polynesian environment ambassador and collaborates with the government for the protection of humpback whales in the South Pacific Ocean, with some of their campaign videos receiving millions of views.

As a conservationist, Temoana raises awareness about humanity’s intrinsic bond with nature through his unique style of visual storytelling, using his photos as frames of reference. His work has been showcased locally and globally, with spotlights in the UK Guardian and New York City's Times Square. With no website, Temoana's art shows are unique opportunities to acquire his work. And, with each piece of art sold, Temoana donates a portion of the proceeds to Polynesian land preservation, strengthening his vision of a world where human growth and development and nature restoration and preservation are united.
